Banking Assets Reach USD 2856.27 Trillion - National banking assets exceeded USD 2856.27 trillion by the end of November 2010. These data revealed by Bank Indonesia in the recent publication of the Indonesian banking statistics. When calculated from the end of 2009, the growth of the national banking assets reached 12.71 percent year to date. When compared with the same period the previous year or the year on year, as of late November 2010, a national banking assets grew 17 percent.

Bank group nondevisa out as a group of banks with the highest asset growth for 11 months in 2010, reaching 31.63 percent. When you view the value of assets, total assets of the bank group is the smallest at $ 73.4 trillion.

Group foreign exchange banks and regional development banks as a group following the bank with the next highest asset growth for 11 months in the year 2010. Each of its assets reached USD 1158.92 trillion and Rp 242.44 trillion, or grew 20.9 percent and 20.8 percent year to date.

The growth of the bank group asset mix and foreign banks last year which is quite moderate in the range of 10 percent. Total assets of foreign banks in Indonesia until last November reached Rp 226.62 trillion. Joint venture bank group asset value reached Rp 149.4 trillion.

The group owned banks which only consists of four banks, namely Bank Mandiri, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, and the State Savings Bank, for 11 months in 2010, recorded a growth of 2.69 percent of assets so that its assets reached USD 1000.48 trillion.

Largest bank assets still contributed by the credit. In the same period, bank loans reached USD 1706.4 billion or an increase of 18.67 percent year to date.
